The University of Minnesota Office for Public Engagement is requesting proposals for a systemwide conference on Thursday, March 31, 2016 to examine the role of community and public engagement in addressing society’s greatest issues.
The day-long conference titled Meeting Society’s Grand Challenges Through Community-Engaged Research, Teaching, and Learning will provide opportunities for University faculty, staff, students and community partners to learn about the University’s community-engaged research, teaching and outreach initiatives; explore strategies for incorporating community engagement in research, teaching and learning; and take part in crafting a call to action for the University’s community-engaged practices.
All University faculty, staff, students, institutional leaders, and community partners affiliated with the University are invited to submit proposals. Conference proposals are due at 5 p.m., Friday, December 4, 2015.
