Maintaining balance as a professional student can be difficult. That’s why the Medical School’s Well-Being Committee has decided to create a Mindfulness for Medical Students initiative.
The initiative states:
“Is the stress of medical school getting to you? Do you ever feel like you need to just need a minute to sit and breathe?
If you’re feeling these things – you’re not alone! Join the Well-Being Committee and your fellow classmates in a new Mindfulness for Medical Students initiative – we’ll be meeting every Monday for the remainder of the semester over lunch (12:15-1:15pm) in the Mayo Meditation Room (3rd Floor).
We’ll start off with a guided meditation and follow that with some time for everyone to enjoy their lunches together and decompress.”
This initiative aims to help students maintain a sense of balance and relaxation during the stressful career of a medical student.
